Musa Kitchen

This kitchen design for Polaris Cucine is fully conceived as a sculpture oevre.

The concept of the kitchen is “the big cut”, a big rut that divides the volume in two phisical and conceptual parts. The cut is cladded with a thin anthracite metal plate that folds becoming the kitchen sink. This engraving is a design feature that can hold different house objects that give it an even stronger meaning (like flower vases, sculptures etc.). This cut also acts as a boundary between the dynamic space of the chef and the static space of the audience, in the kitchen piece. Other wooden boxes are put in the cut in order to highlight some warm lines of the design that are set against the cold metal.
